The Language of Letting Go Meditation Series by Melody Beattie
Beattie is the author of the ground-breaking book on codependency called Codependent No More. In fact, now a common term, the word "codependency" wasn't even introduced until 1986 in that very book. After the success of her first book and several others, this one was published as the first daily meditation book for codependents. Beattie is trusted as the authority on this subject due to her background as a survivor of abandonment, kidnapping, sexual abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, divorce and the death of a child.

Each daily reading in the book has a long passage with thoughts on self-awareness, acceptance, relationships, self-care, or some other topic. There may be a passage taken from either Codependent No More or Beyond Codependency. Finally, at the end there is some sort of daily affirmation or action item. I think that this is a good book but that some of the daily readings are a bit long if this is not your only daily mediation book. Aside from that, I wouldn't really have any other criticisms about it as it is very much in line with any 12 Step program and the readings should be very helpful to just about anyone.
