For an uplifting, inspirational and definitely spiritual daily meditation book, have a look at

Jesus Calling - Enjoying Peace in His Presence

First published in 2004 by missionary Sarah Young after years of writing in her prayer journal and listening for answers from God, this daily readings book has turned into a best seller and is now in the hands of millions who use it on a daily basis for inspiration and enlightenment.   I must be honest and say that the title of the book, when it was first given to me by my sponsor, was not something that I was drawn to.  I don't consider myself to be a religious person at all and don't read scripture - pretty much ever.  However, I do find the daily readings in this book to be very uplifting, non-judgmental and inspirational, which is something that I think most people in recovery can appreciate.

“You can have as much of Me and My Peace as you want, through thousands of correct choices each day. The most persistent choice you face is whether to trust Me or to worry. You will never run out of things to worry about, but you can choose to trust Me no matter what. I am an ever-present help in trouble. Trust Me, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.” - Sarah Young, Jesus Calling

It's a given that these are pretty powerful and inspirational passages.  That being said, there are a handful of people who do have issues with this book and I can see their point.  The fact that someone is claiming to be a channel for Jesus Christ and speaking His words to the world strikes some as audacious.  Also, as you can see from the quote above, the book is written in the first person as if Jesus were doing the writing.  Finally, the messages that are being delivered are pretty uniform in that they are mostly all affirmations, such as "Trust Me, I am with you, Relax". There is little in the way of religious teachings and commandments on how to live that are found in the bible.   Now, if you can get past these points (I pretty much can) and concentrate on the positive and uplifting aspect of the book, which is all of it, then you really have a winner of a spirituality daily meditation here.
