Another of the books on addiction that you should avoid like the plague is

Freedom from Drug Addiction by John McQuilkin

A complete hack job of a book that could not have taken this guy more than an hour to put together through a couple of web searches, or maybe hiring someone overseas to write a few articles for him.   Why do we review this crap?  Because it ranks on the first page of Amazon book results for some pretty high-powered keywords - that's why.  This book has been out for less than 3 weeks at the time of this review, yet has 5 glowing 5-star reviews.  This doesn't happen naturally, especially on a Kindle-only book that is under 20 pages.

Mr McQuilkin touts himself as a Beverly Hills celebrity real estate agent and all of the links from his author page go to real estate websites and pages.  Despite his heart-wrenching personal story, there is nothing else to back it up, including a book of any substance.  He has other Kindle books, with multiple books published on the same date and 8 (EIGHT) books total published in just a 2-week period.  They are all titled "Freedom from...." something --- Debit, Depression, Anxiety Disorder, OCD, PTSD. You get the point.   If you think that simply "Believing in Yourself" can get you sober, this guy may have a few sentences in his book for you.  Otherwise, save your dollar and look elsewhere.

For a more detailed and balanced look at Addiction, including detox  and treatment considerations, we recommend this book.  However, if you'd like to give Freedom from Drug Addiction by John McQuilkin a read and your money, you can find it here:
